‘A Warm Welcome to the ICCM’s New Non-Voting Board Member’

Jane Matheson is our new ‘Non-Voting Board Member’ who will be representing our Scottish members on the Board to provide updates and support in ensuring that our Scottish members are heard. It’s really just a brief welcome email/post to introduce her to the whole membership so people know what she is to the Board and where her area of focus is.

The ICCM Board is pleased to announce that Jane Matheson has joined us as a Non-Voting Board Member with immediate effect.

Jane brings with her over 40 years of extensive experience spanning the Registrar, cemetery, crematorium, and forensic pathology services at Edinburgh City Council. She is also an active member of several Scottish Government working groups, where she contributes her expertise to the ongoing development of policy and practice.

In her new role, Jane will complement the existing ICCM Board of Directors by:

  • Providing timely updates on the latest changes, movements, and challenges within Scottish funerary services.
  • Ensuring the perspectives and standpoints of Scottish ICCM members are represented and acknowledged.

We are confident that Jane’s wealth of knowledge and dedication will be a tremendous asset to our work and our members.
