We are really pleased to invite all members to the next East Anglia Branch meeting which is being held on Tuesday 21st April at Basildon and District Crematorium & Cemetery followed by a meeting and tour at S Stibbards Funeral Directors.
Set in 18 acres of countryside, with views of the River Thames and Kent, Basildon and District Crematorium & Cemetery offers a peaceful and rural setting for the people of South East Essex. The crematorium is set close to the historic village of Bowers Gifford, overlooking the Thames estuary and with views across to the Kent Hills. Surrounded by trees, lawns and with an ornamental pond at the centre of its gardens, the crematorium has a special, distinctive feel offering a personalised experience throughout multiple areas of the venue.
The crematorium is one of Westerleigh’s SuperVenues which you will have an opportunity to experience. SuperVenue experiences mean that families arriving for their loved one’s funeral will be greeted by a new external welcome screen, displaying a treasured image of the loved one being remembered.
Inside the chapel, mourners will find themselves surrounded by a beautifully-curated immersive theme as selected by the closest family, projected onto the entire front wall of the chapel – canvas – and accompanied by harmoniously co-ordinated soundscapes, music and lighting.
