ICCM DIPLOMA \u2013 THE ONLY SERVICE SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AVAILABLE TO THOSE WORKING IN CEMETERIES AND CREMATORIA<\/h3>\n

The ICCM and Stratford Business School have developed the ICCM Diploma for those working in cemeteries and crematoria in the UK.<\/p>\n

Consisting of\u00a0 compulsory and optional units, members can study for the whole Diploma, Certificate stages, or individual units. Each unit is designed to educate about the relevant subject, and equip students with the knowledge to apply in their workplace to ensure high quality services to bereaved people.<\/p>\n

Until recently, students registering for units could choose to achieve a BTEC HNC in cemetery and crematorium management accredited by Pearson. Unfortunately Pearson are withdrawing their accreditation due to the relatively low numbers of students signing up for the HNC, so the ICCM is currently considering other accreditation options.<\/p>\n

Existing students can continue to study for the BTEC HNC, and have until August 2023 to complete their studies to achieve this.<\/p>\n

Accreditation for new students will change, but they can still achieve ICCM units, ICCM Certificates, and the ICCM Diploma. Any studies undertaken will count towards any new accreditation in due course.<\/p>\n
