Easing of restrictions in England

On 12th July 2021 the Government issued a statement on the move to Step 4 in the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in England; you can read about the statement here.

The Government has also published guidance on moving to Step 4 of the roadmap –  Covid-19 Response: Summer 2021.

The guidance states that from 19th July 2021:

All restrictions on life events such as weddings, funerals, bar/bat mitzvahs and baptisms will be removed, including the remaining restrictions on the number of attendees. There will be no requirement for table service at life events, or restrictions on singing or dancing.

At the same time as lifting all legal restrictions from 19th July 2021, the Government is also urging caution in response to rising cases of Covid-19 due to the Delta variant. It is therefore expected that the current guidance on managing funerals, and on attending funerals, will be revised in the coming days. This will be issued to members as soon as it is received.
